In a package, 100 g. of "Orlon" type 41 raw stock is wet out with 1 g. "Igepon" T gel for 15 minutes at 160 to 180F. The bath is dropped and the machine is charged with 25 liters of water at 120F., containing 60 g. sodium bicarbonate and 60 g. "Rongalite." Just before the addition of the leuco vat solution, 15 g. sodium hydrosulfite is added. The leuco vat solution is prepared in the usual manner. The temperature is quickly raised to 260F. and maintained with circulation for 40 minutes. The bath is then dropped and the material oxidized and scoured in a fresh bath. |
