5月30日，第五届中国石油和化工绿色发展峰会在广州黄埔开幕。大会汇聚政府部门、行业协会、企业、学界等约500名嘉宾，围绕“培育新质生产力，共当绿色践行者”主题，以全局思维、长远眼光，探讨石油与化工行业高质量发展的新思路、新模式、新举措，共同见证《中国石油和化工行业绿色发展蓝皮书2023-2024》的发布、湾区绿色数字交易园“三大中心”及全国工业新材料行业产教融合共同体的成立。发展绿色生产力是一项长期任务，在第五届中国石油和化工绿色发展峰会主论坛的共识和基础上，5月31日，绿色化工与先进材料创新发展、安全与应急产业发展、化工行业智能制造发展、塑料产业技术应用及数字化供应链4个主题平行论坛将举行，以推动行业细分领域实现生产力的绿色跃迁而持续前行。

5月29日，中国能建2024年电化学储能产业发展论坛暨储能新产品发布会在武汉成功举办。论坛期间，60余名嘉宾先后参观考察中储科技产品展厅、自动化生产车间和研发实验室，对中储科技在储能系统锂电池PACK研发、制造及生产线智能化建设等方面的工作进行深入调研。本次论坛是中国能建持续深入贯彻落实《若干意见》“1466”和“四新”能建战略，加快推进“四大转型”，促进公司储能装备的技术进步的重要举措。

5月25日至5月26日，2024年全国阻燃学术年会暨第六届中国(淮北)功能化学品论坛在淮北市举办。国内外阻燃材料领域的专家学者、上下游企业代表等齐聚一堂，通过主题报告、学术交流、技术展示等多种形式，深入探讨阻燃材料的前沿问题和发展趋势。中国石油和化学工业联合会副会长李彬在致辞时表示，全国阻燃学术年会自1987年举办以来，至今已成功举办了三十多届，一直是阻燃研究和应用，阻燃新技术、新产品及标准和国家相关产业政策发布的盛会，是阻燃行业的金字招牌。主论坛上，中国工程院院士、四川大学教授王玉忠，中国科学技术大学教授胡源，金发科技股份有限公司首席战略官、俄罗斯工程院外籍院士李建军等多位专家学者围绕阻燃材料等话题作主旨报告，并展开热烈讨论。
