性状：白色具潮解性结晶固体, 能溶于水及乙醇. 强烈灼烧后起分解作用, 生成二氧化钍. 当二氧化钍白热时能发出强光, 用于照明。本品有放射性氧化剂性质。 膨胀, 500℃分解。
