用途：存在于多种精油中，用于配制康乃馨型和东方型香精，也用于异丁香酚的变调剂。
广泛用于石竹、玫瑰、紫丁香、依兰等花香型香精作定香剂并可给予特别格调。适用于珞利亚型(香水用)、东方香型、辛香型及木香型香精。偶尔作为辛协调剂用于香荚兰豆、巧克力等食用香精，烟草香精中亦用之。
